Project Title:  OMFS Visits, Ho Chi Minh City

Project Description
Over the past 12 years, an OMFS team lead by Michael Schenberg has visited the Odonto Maxillo Facial Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City for one week each June or July screening and operating on patients.  During this time, the team has treated more than 600 patients. The team works in close collaboration with the administration and dental staff of the hospital and trains local surgeons and trainee surgeons some of whom have become sufficiently proficient to perform some of the procedures taught.  The 2018 ICD grant helps fund the travel costs of trained OMFS dental assistants to join the team.
