Project Description
ICD Section VIII grants to the NZDRF aim to support oral health research to improve oral health care. The 2018 ICD grant have been awarded to Dr Manikandan Ekambaram, Prof Cynthia Kar Yung Yiu, A/Prof Neil Waddell, Dr Kai Chun Li, Dr Sam Lowrey, Dr Dorothy Boyd and Yu-Lynn Lee for their project titled, Bonding Universal Adhesive Resin to Developmentally Hypomineralised Enamel.  The aim of the project is to gain insight into the effect of pre-treatment of hypomineralised enamel with a papain-based papacarie gel and the influence of this treatment on microshear bond strength.
